One of the greatest and most amusing tools on the internet has to be archive.org‘s Wayback Machine Internet Archive. If you’ve never played with it before, it’s an awesomely interactive reminder just how far we’ve come in terms of web-design and functionality in honestly not that long of a time-span. Today we take a quick look back at DownShiftMagazine.com v1.0 circa 2004. It’s dated and showing it’s age but it was functional and easy to navigate, traits still desired but often ignored today. So many tables…the world before CMS and CSS. The cover featured there with model Pearl Nalani and the Porsche 911 Turbo was actually our first all-digital shoot! Gone were the 35mm film cameras and in were the all new Canon Digital Rebels. Time flies when you are having fun and it’s certainly been nearly a decade of fun.
All things considered, we’re kind of impressed with ourselves from nearly 10 years ago.
