Today we take a trip back to the late 1990’s and revisit one of the most popular (and affordable) import sports cars of the era. The 2G (2nd Generation) Mitsubishi Eclipse was completely redesigned in 1994 and this second iteration of the car maintained the sporty market focus of the first generation car but also sought to appeal to a broader and potentially more sophisticated consumer market resulting in a design more focused on fit and finish than it had previously been. Turbo models continued to be powered by the robust 4G63 power-plant with minor updates resulting in an overall horsepower improvement to 210 hp.
